Simon Dann (Psychologist – Telehealth Only)

Simon is a warm friendly and engaging Psychologist who has been working in the mental health field for nearly 25 years. He believes that everyone will have life challenges at work or in their relationships than can be managed effectively and turned into opportunities for growth. He has undertaken the latest training in scientific methods for understanding human behaviour and has helped apply these as he assists people transition through life. Simon believes strongly in personal growth and helping his clients improve their resilience so they can live their best life.

Simon has supported his clients with a variety of concerns, including:

  • Treatment of Depression and Anxiety disorders.
  • Alcohol and Drug issues, including addiction.
  • Life transitions, such as relationship concerns and employment related issues.
  • Coping and adjusting to injury.
  • Supporting adults with management of ADHD and/or Autism related symptoms, including adjustment to diagnosis.
  • Coping with trauma.

Simon’s approach utilises a variety of intervention styles, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing, adjusting his approach based on his clients needs. Simon is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy for treatment of trauma.
