Katrina Burgess (Psychologist)

Katrina is a psychologist who is a strong advocate for creating positive change. Katrina completed her Master of Psychology (Professional) and has worked alongside clients across the lifespan.

Katrina holds a particular passion however for the following areas, including:

  • Working with children, young people, and their families.
  • Working with a range of anxieties (including but not limited to generalised anxiety, specific phobias, OCD, separation anxiety, and panic disorders.)
  • Self-esteem and body image.
  • Working with low or depressed mood; managing self-harm.
  • Emotional regulation (i.e., anger management) and managing behaviours.
  • Working with neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism.

In her practice, Katrina conveys a warm, empathic, and non-judgemental stance, creating a space for clients to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgement.  Approaching each session with an openness, Katrina values the importance of working side by side with each client as they journey towards their therapy goals. Katrina believes that recognising the uniqueness of each client is pivotal to creating positive outcomes. Her approach to intervention is therefore highly collaborative, drawing on both client’s needs and preferences as well as from a range of evidence-based interventions.

Katrina sees clients on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Katrina is not currently accepting new clients.
